Return Records Starts It’s Latin Roster with the Signing of Cala Mazu

Return Records Announces its’ Expansion into the Latin American Music Market with the signing of Venezuela-based Cala Mazu. Cala Mazú is singer and songwriter who started writing songs by herself in 2017 and then had a band for some time, before going solo and releasing her first single. Cala Mazu’s main influences are Hayley Williams, Paramore, and Amy Winehouse, and she has played notable performances at the Festival Nuevas Bandas twice, which is a festival that has been taking place in Caracas for over 20 years, as well as a few other smaller local events. Cala Mazu looks to sing in two shows this year not only for her own project, but also supporting Jose Hoek, another singer and songwriter from Venezuela, and as chorist in a Supertramp show! She is very excited about both! He debut single “El Cacique” was produced by Deft Dog in LA, and recorded in Remoto Estudio in Caracas. She wants her work to represent the power of love so big it's impossible to block it or act against it. She wrote the single after a recent as the story about two people who fell in love, and the song is a metaphor of the reveal and confession of that deep crush that never came to anything. Return Records couldn’t be more excited to have her aboard as our debut Latin American artist and look forward to big things to come!
