Return Records Launches DJ Collective “Groove Kitchen”
Return Records is excited to announce the official launch of Groove Kitchen, a new DJ collective and event series aimed at spotlighting local talent, fostering community, and expanding the label’s presence in the electronic and dance music scenes. The collective launched on June 18, 2024, with a mission to bring high-energy sets and genre-blending sounds to dance floors across New York and beyond.
Founded by members of the Return Records team and longtime collaborators in the underground DJ circuit, Groove Kitchen will serve as both a creative hub and a performance platform. The collective plans to host monthly events, radio takeovers, and pop-up sets that blend house, techno, disco, funk, and global rhythms.
“Our vision with Groove Kitchen is to create a space where DJs can experiment and feed off the energy of the crowd,” said a Return Records spokesperson. “It’s about connection, movement, and building something that feels alive and local—but with a global mindset.”
The debut Groove Kitchen event is set for July 12, 2024, at a yet-to-be-announced Brooklyn venue, featuring sets from founding members and special guests.
With Groove Kitchen, Return Records continues its mission to amplify boundary-pushing music and nurture artistic communities across genres and formats.
