Return Records Appoints Anthony Garcia as Creative Director
New York City, August 30, 2025 – Return Records is proud to announce the appointment of Anthony Garcia as the label’s new Creative Director, marking an exciting new chapter in its mission to foster creativity, collaboration, and community in music.
Anthony has been an integral part of Return Records’ journey since its inception, serving not only as a trusted musical partner but also as a champion of the label’s vision. His dedication, communication, and commitment to the label’s growth have been instrumental, and his appointment reflects both his artistic leadership and his deep investment in Return Records’ future.
Anthony Garcia began his creative journey at 19 in Reno, Nevada, where he immersed himself in the local arts scene—managing tours, running sound and Audio-Visual (AV) for the Nevada Art Museum, and hosting shows across multiple venues. His early focus was on cultivating relationships between local and touring artists, helping to build a sense of community that extended across cities and states.
In Portland, Oregon, Anthony expanded his craft as both a performer and educator, teaching music theory and guitar while performing alongside jazz musicians and local artists. His path then led to New York City, where he taught guitar across the boroughs, performed in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and helped foster independent music culture by supporting Do-It-Yourself (DIY) spaces and shows.
During his time in New York, Anthony collaborated across genres, including studio coaching for singer-songwriters and bands, performing at iconic venues such as 54 Below and The Bitter End, and accompanying artists throughout the vibrant Manhattan and Bronx pub scene. He also contributed to the tourism industry’s entertainment sector, hiring and coaching singers, while continuing to perform with various bands. With a career defined by versatility, collaboration, and a passion for nurturing artists, Anthony brings a wealth of experience to his role as Creative Director, leading with a vision rooted in community, creativity, and connection.
In his new role, Anthony will lead the creative direction of the label, shaping recording sessions, guiding artists, and building bridges with venues, partners, and collaborators. His responsibilities will include:
Overseeing Recording Sessions & Vision – Leading the creative process to bring key tracks to life.
Artist Development – Encouraging singers and songwriters to record and helping artists reach their full potential.
Session Player Integration – Recruiting and coordinating instrumentalists for recording projects.
Music Production – Driving tracks from concept to final mixed, mastered, and distributed versions.
Mentorship & Guidance – Coaching the engineer intern in arrangement and composition.
A&R & Talent Scouting – Suggesting and signing new artists and songwriters to the label.
Live & Touring Strategy – Identifying venues, booking performances, and advising on touring opportunities.
Licensing & Content Creation – Developing music and video content for licensing opportunities.
Marketing Collaboration – Supporting label marketing through creative outreach and partnerships.
Over the next 18 months, Return Records is preparing to strengthen its foundation by building a robust music catalog to position the label for distribution and major label partnerships. Garcia’s leadership will be central to this evolution, helping Return Records create market-ready music while cultivating an environment where artists can thrive.
