Return Records Announces the Electric Soul Songwriting Camp & Showcase, October 25–26, 2025

New York, NY, October 2025 — Return Records, in partnership with Groover, The Orchard / Sony Music, and Make Music New York, proudly announces the return of the Electric Soul Songwriting Camp & Showcase, a two-day creative experience uniting emerging artists, songwriters, and producers from across New York City and the tri-state area.

Hosted at Echoland Studios and Sound Studios inside Manhattan’s historic Music Building, the camp will bring together thirty of NYC’s most promising musicians for collaborative songwriting, recording, and mentorship. Over the course of two days, participants will write, produce, and refine original music under the guidance of industry mentors from labels, publishers, and creative agencies.

The camp will culminate in a live showcase at Bowery Electric on Sunday, October 26th at 6 PM, featuring debut performances by camp participants, live DJ sets, and presentations from leading partners in the music and creative industries.

“Electric Soul was designed to bridge the gap between emerging creators and the industry that fuels them,” said Jonathan Sherman, CEO and Founder of Return Records. “We’re building a space where artistry, community, and opportunity converge — and we can’t wait to see the next generation of voices come to life.”

This fall’s camp will feature an expert panel discussion titled “How to Achieve Financial Success in Music: Secure the Rights, Content, and Tools Needed for Sustained Impact” on Saturday, October 25th at 1 PM (Echoland Studios, Room 1202). The discussion will cover topics such as intellectual property, brand management, content monetization, and the creator economy, featuring speakers from places like Universal Music Group, Warner Chappell, Shutterstock, and the NYU Clive Davis Institute.
