BMG Scandinavia “Artist to Watch” TOPIA signs with Return Records

The punchy and melodic sensation TOPIA has landed in the US and will be starting their North American journey with Return Records. TOPIA is a musical duo from Stockholm, Sweden that consists of vocalist Patricia, along with multi-instrumentalist Karl. Patricia and Karl met at a music school in London and have been collaborating ever since.

Eventually, they started a proper duo in 2016, and they quickly built a strong following. TOPIA’s songs are incredibly catchy and diverse, often blurring the lines between different sounds and creative ideas, while still retaining the direct appeal that we associate with indie-pop music. The band’s 2021 single “Take Me Back” went on to enjoy a steady stream of listeners on digital music platforms. The song combines catchy lyrics with atmospheric sounds and a focus arrangement. Everything in the mix is balanced and creative.

There’s a pleasant 80s vibe that adds some warmth and focus to the music, while still retaining a relatively bright and modern sound that suits the style of Patricia’s melodic and pleasing vocals.
